Although Get A Better Car can stock any car, we have several stock choices that are tried and tested since we began this business in 2017. Our decision making criteria looks at a few different factors;
Price – we want to make sure that the prices for cars we stock are affordable and attractive enough for each car to sell easily
Age – we want to make sure that cars are less likely to have age-related issues
Mileage – we want to make sure that cars are less likely to have wear and tear issues due to the miles they have covered
The vehicle’s history – making sure the vehicle hasn’t had any issues in it’s recent history, the MOT history doesn’t show any potential future issues and the service history is sufficient to meet our standards
Days to sell – we measure how many days it takes each car to sell and choose cars that sell quicker
The selection of cars we stock isn’t completely black and white but all of the above are taken into account when selecting cars.
Cars we stock – answering the question of ‘Which cars do Get A Better Car stock?’
Here are some of our most popular makes and models with links to articles about them;
We don’t source cars to order, so if you are looking for a car that either isn’t on our stock tab or in the list above, then chances are that we aren’t going to buy it. In these cases, you would be better applying for finance with our sister site Pay Weekly Car Finance who specialise in finding car finance approvals for customers that are still looking for their next purchase.
If you are interested in a car from our regularly purchased cars;
but we don’t have the car in stock right now, get in touch with us and we will let you know if there are cars that are about to come into stock.
Exactly what checks do you do on each car?
Here is a step-by-step of exactly what is done on each car we buy.
A car checker is sent out to inspect the car and checks over 50 different parts of the car before we even choose to buy the car. The car receives a visual inspection, a stationary checklist and a road test to ensure it’s a car we would want to purchase.
The car is driven to us – the average car is driven 70 miles to us which is an extensive road test on top of the previous checks.
We drive the car ourselves – listening out for any unusual noises we’d want checking into. We also check the air con, heating, interior condition, exterior condition and ensure the car has a quarter tank of fuel as a minimum.
We book the car in with one of our trusted garages, the main garages we use are Bramcote Hills Garage and KAM Servicing and we ask them to complete an MOT test, an interim service (unless the car has recently had one), a pre-sale check and also report any issues discovered on our road test.
Once the garage have completed their checks, we take the car for another (longer) road-test where we ensure that the car has no noises that don’t belong and the performance of the car is as expected.
We then run the engine of every car, every 2-weeks to make sure the battery health remains good, check for any tyre lights and ensure that the fuel level is good. In addition to this, we road test every car, every 30-days until it sells.
If you have an issue after all of the above, our 6-month/6,000 mile warranty will kick in and we will fund the repair.
