What if my credit is really bad? Can I still get approved?

This is a tougher one to answer because everyone’s definition of bad credit is likely to be different to each other, but the only definition that really matters, is the one of the finance company. In their policy document, they are able to accept: CCJs, defaults, missed payments, arrears, discharged bankruptcies, and IVAs, but they also automatically reject applicants where their credit file shows signs that they are currently financially struggling to meet their commitments. The only way to know if you can get accepted is to apply and see whether you pass the initial credit check, and affordability check.
